The CPWF holds the International Forum on Water and Food every two to three years. The first was held in 2006 and the second was held in 2009. The Forum is one of the central mechanisms for sharing results and lessons from CPWF research. The event brings together all projects working within CPWF as well as prominent people in related sectors and organizations.

The Forum is run in an interactive and dynamic way. Reflecting the research for development focus of CPWF, the Forum emphasizes learning and interaction, rather than just presentation of conventional scientific research. The Forum agenda ensures that our results are used to examine the implications for development and how  this research influences policy development in the river basins that CPWF works in.
